This powerful and uplifting musical based on true events, tells the story of 38 diverted flights carrying nearly 7,000 passengers who found themselves stranded in the small town of Gander, Newfoundland, nearly doubling its population overnight. The musical focuses not on fear or tragedy, but on the generosity and compassion shown by the townspeople, known as “Newfoundlanders,” toward the stranded passengers, who were referred to as “come from aways.”
