Broughton Astley Drama Society returns this autumn with Underdog: The Other Other Brontë, a fresh, witty and heartfelt look behind one of literature’s most famous families. With themes of love, sisterhood, jealousy and competition, Underdog is funny and moving in equal measure—balancing laugh-out-loud moments with an emotional punch as the sisters navigate ambition, identity and the cost of being overlooked.

This is your invitation to spend a lively, nostalgic night at a local Northern pub. Join the bickering Landlord and Landlady—a married couple who serve up drinks and cutting remarks in equal measure.  As they navigate the evening shift, their pub becomes a stage for the local community. This poignant and very witty play takes audiences into the world of one working-class pub over the course of one night.
