Little Women

Based on Louisa May Alcott’s life, Little Women follows the adventures of the four March sisters – traditional Meg, wild Jo, timid Beth and romantic Amy, and their beloved Marmee at home in Concord, Massachusetts, while their father is away serving in the Civil War. Perfect for all of the family, this  classic story and stunning music embody the complete theatrical experience, guaranteeing a night filled with laughter, tears and a lifting of the spirit – the powerful score soars with the sounds of personal discovery, heartache and hope – the sounds of a young America finding its voice.

Blithe Spirit

A theatre-lovers’ favourite ever since it was written, Blithe Spirit is a tug-of-love comedy with a difference. After a “spirited” séance goes decidedly wrong all thanks to the local, slightly eccentric clairvoyant Madam Arcati, the cantankerous novelist Charles Condomine suddenly finds himself face to face with the ghost of his deceased wife, Elvira…much to the chagrin of his current spouse, Ruth. Can Charles keep this wilful spirit at bay or will his new marriage to his second wife come to an untimely demise? With unforgettable characters, witty dialogue and farcical situations, Blithe Spirit ran for decades on the West End Stage,  becoming one of the most well-known plays in British history.

One of the oldest stories to be turned into a pantomime, MOTHER GOOSE follows the traditional path of good versus bad.

Mother Goose, the Dame in our panto, is a good and kindly soul, always happy and contented with her lot. But Priscilla, the goose in question, is no ordinary goose but one with magic powers and the ability to lay eggs of pure gold.

Will this newfound wealth be the thing that turns Mother Goose? Will she become vain and unhappy? What will become of Priscilla the magic goose? The production promises to have all the usual hallmarks of a Concordia panto with plenty of comedy, song and dance: fabulous costumes, scenery and stunning special effects.

Spamalot

Lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail, MONTY PYTHON’S SPAMALOT retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, and features a bevy of beautiful show girls, not to mention cows, killer rabbits, and French people. The outrageous, uproarious, and gloriously entertaining story of King Arthur and the Lady of the Lake will delight audiences as they search for the Holy Grail and “always look on the bright side of life”.

Orpheus in the Underworld

Orpheus isn’t the most devoted of husbands. So when his young wife Eurydice runs off with a strange man who turns out to be a great god in disguise (Pluto, King of Hades no less), Orpheus isn’t too bothered. Sadly for him, his mother is. She’s very bothered. She insists that they catch the very next hot-air balloon to Hell and set off together to win his wife back. If only those poor unsuspecting Gods of the Underworld knew what was about to hit them …
