The Revlon Girl

It’s 1967 in the small Welsh coal mining village of Aberfan, 8 months after the slag heap behind the village came sliding down onto the primary school and nearby homes, killing 144 people, 116 of them children, and devastating the whole community.

The Revlon Girl tells the real-life story of a group of bereaved mothers who meet every week in a room above a local pub to talk, cry and even laugh without feeling guilty. Helped by a Revlon representative, their stories unfold in a powerful and life affirming play
